Bad weather prevented a Club Contest from being played at the Czech Masters last year, but this year's battle of the two-man teams on hole 7 finally made its debut. With a nasty wind blowing, the 140 metre long shot was best handled by the local Albatross players.

Andrea Pavan outlasted three-time Major winner Padraig Harrington in a thrilling battle on the final day to claim his first European Tour title at the D+D Real Czech Masters.

With less than two weeks to go until the tournament, some very interesting names have appeared on the entry list. In addition to those already confirmed, we can announce that Thomas PIETERS, winner in 2015, plans to come back. The arrival of Padraig HARRINGTON is also under negotiation.

The list of players registered for the Czech Masters has been enriched by another big star. A very popular Englishman, Andrew "Beef" Johnston, who has supporters in Europe and also in the USA, will make his debut at this year's tournament.

The fifth edition of the D+D REAL Czech Masters will take place from 23 to 26 August, once again here at the Albatross. The prize money remains the same at €1 million. The biggest confirmed star this year is definitely Danny WILLET, a 30-year-old Englishman who won his first major at Augusta in 2016. "The Czech Masters has a great reputation amongst players and I am looking forward to playing at the Albatross again," said Willet, who played here in 2014 when he finished 13th.
