The Club Match Play Championship is open only to members of the Albatross Golf Club and only amateur players may participate. Only players who register by May 15, 2025 at 12:00 via email (recepce@albatross.cz), in person at the reception, or using the form on the club’s noticeboard may be included in the tournament bracket.

The maximum number of participants is limited to 32 men and 16 women. The Tournament Committee reserves the right to adjust the capacities of individual categories. Only members aged 14 and older may register.

Half of the registered players will be seeded based on HCP; the remaining half will be drawn randomly. The draw will take place on May 16, 2025.

The dates of each round will be determined based on the number of participants and will be announced on the day of the draw.

The tournament bracket and current standings will be continuously updated on the club website and posted on the club’s noticeboard at reception.

By registering, you agree to the competition rules, including the condition that each round has a fixed schedule and will not be extended under any circumstances.

How to Challenge an Opponent:

The challenger in each pair is the player with the higher HCP. The challenger is responsible for reserving the tee time and must inform the Tournament Committee of the match date and time in advance via email (recepce@albatross.cz) or in person at the club reception.

If the players are unable to agree on a match date, the challenger may contact the Tournament Committee no later than 7 days before the deadline of the respective round. The committee will then determine the match date to ensure all matches are played within the official schedule. In case of serious or unforeseen circumstances, the committee may also set a replacement date.

Opponent contact information will be provided in the automatic registration email or available at reception.

No-Show Policy:

If a player does not show up for a scheduled match without a valid reason, the match will be forfeited and the opponent will advance automatically. If the challenger fails to initiate the challenge, the opponent advances automatically. If neither player shows up, both will be eliminated from the tournament.

If the players do not schedule a match by one week before the round deadline, the Tournament Committee will assign two possible dates. The players must choose one. If only one player responds, that player will advance. If neither responds, the result will be decided by a draw.

Result Reporting:

Before the match, players will receive a stamped scorecard at the reception. Immediately after finishing the match, players must report the result to the reception by submitting the completed scorecard. The scorecard must clearly indicate the result of each hole, the final match result, and be signed by both players.

Dispute Resolution:

Matches are played without referees. Any disputes must be resolved in accordance with Rule 2-5 of the Rules of Golf.

Fees:

There is no entry fee for individual matches.

Final Awards Ceremony:

The winners of each category will be announced and awarded commemorative trophies. The category winners will become the 2025 Albatross Club Match Play Champions, and their names will be engraved on the club’s commemorative trophies. The final awards ceremony will be held during the Closing Season Tournament.

The Tournament Committee reserves the right to make technical adjustments or additions to the tournament announcement.
