The good new is the course has survived winter and is in good shape for the 2018 season. Every type of weather has been thrown at us and it seemed like winter was dragging on for an age until all of a sudden we have been blessed with the recent glorious weather.

Since the course has been closed in November the green keeping team and other contractors have been busy preparing the course for this season with numerous improvements.

This time we will concentrate on our greens. Over the years a percentage of undesirable Poa Annua has crept into the greens and in the last few months steps have been made in reversing this issue leading to better performing surfaces year round.

Dear golfers,
you will all be glad to know that the work on the fairways is drawing to a close!!!! With all fairways now sandslitted in two direction they are definitely a lot firmer under foot and draining well after rain.

Bad weather did not allow to play a Club Contest during the Czech Masters last year, but this year's battle of two-member teams on the hole 7 finally made its debut. With unpleasant wind, the 140-meter long shots were best handled by home-grown Albatross players.

Andrea Pavan overcame three-time Major champion Padraig Harrington in an enthralling final-day battle to win his first European Tour title at the D+D Real Czech Masters.
The duo entered round four at Albatross Golf Resort in a share for the lead but Harrington looked set for European Tour win number 16 when he opened up a three-shot lead at the turn.

With less than two week before the tournament some very interesting names have appeared on the entry list. Apart form those already confirmed we can announce that Thomas PIETERS, winner of 2015, plnas to come again. Also arrival of Padraig HARRINGTON is now under negotations.

The list of players signed up for the Czech Masters is richer by another great star. A very popular Englishman Andrew „Beef“ Johnston, who has supporters in Europe and also in the US, will make his debut at Albatross at this year tournament.

The fifth D+D REAL Czech Masters takes place from 23rd to 26th of August, again here at Albatross. The prize money remains at the same level at 1million €. The biggest confirmed star of this year is definitely Danny WILLET, a 30-years old Englisman who won his first Major at Augusta in 2016. "The Czech Masters has a great reputation amongst players and I look forward to plaing again at Albatross," said Willet, who already played here in 2014, when he finished at the 13th place.
